There are a set of characters that I've found that I
absolutely needed in the titles that cannot be used
without using URLencode:

\ / : * ? " < > |

I think FlexWiki could allow these by URLencoding and
decoding.

I noticed WikiPedia does this.

    Could you give some examples and justification for needing
    some of these characters in the titles? It's probably
    possibel to make them work, but I'm a bit nervous about it.

    Many legal and historical documents that I wanted to
    highlight include a colon. So, "Ardennes 122:20", which
    is a reference that everyone understands in the community
    cannot be made into a wiki topic.
