In small quantities, and if you are in the United States, I would be willing to program them and send you the chips. 328P-PU chips run about $3 and I'd program them for $2 plus shipping. Minimum 4.
If you are outside of the US, you might be better served by someone in your region.

I'm in Sydney, Australia. If no-one local offers within about a week could you find out shipping costs. It could still be less than the cost to me of purchasing a programmer plus the time and anxiety of figuring what I did wrong on the first few attempts.

Hi Gary,
I'm more than happy to program a few chips and send them to you. That said, the Microchip SNAP is $39 in the US, I'm sure its comparable in Australia. I've written up how to compile/burn a chip here and here, I believe its fairly simple process. (Thanks, to Mikael writing up most of it.)
It might be worth the investment...the other option is to consider using an Arduino Uno as a programmer. If you have two Uno's.

Was it simple the first time you programmed one? Online forums have many questions from those who followed simple instructions, wondering why it failed. It's not the end of using Forth for a few projects that I wanted to get into. Retired now, back in the 1980s & 90s I programmed turnkey applications in RSC-Forth on the 6502. Now I just want to play, not home brew the sandpit before building a sand castle. I don't lie under my car anymore to change the oil or bleed the brakes.
The Microchip SNAP is almost double that in Australia. I'll wait a few days to see if there's any local offers.

Mikael, thanks for your FlashForth and this forum. Yes only recently I purchased a couple to get back into Forth, but I wanted something with a more compact footprint as well.

Does anyone supply pre-programmed chips with FlashForth for the Arduino Uno?
Hi Gary,
Where are you located? How many do you want?

No-one in Australia has responded. I'd like to go ahead. We should probably continue this via private email - gary@feraltek.id.au
Apologies if this breaches any protocol for this forum.
