I installed FlashFolder (Win XP SP2) as a service few days ago. It is running (Sysinternals Process Explorer shows it under services.exe), but the Save As window didn't change since install (I often save pictures, web-pages, tec. from e-mails or in Firefox). Neither the Open window chenged (tried from MS Word).
I read the previous similar topic: I assume Firefox doesn't use the so called "old-style "browse for folder"", does it?
Any idea why it doesn't work? (My Windows is a relatively fresh install).

Thanks for your problem report.
Some other users have reported similar symptoms. It should work in Firefox, I tried it myself. As for MS Office products - I have only verified that it works with the 2002/2003 versions.
I assume you have already tried to restart your computer, since you refer to another forum thread.
I never experienced something like this myself. In order to fix the bug, it would help very much if I could reproduce it on my own computer.
If you have some time available (doesn't take more than 5 min), you could help me by sending some "diagnostic information" which FlashFolder outputs.
You need to run a small freeware tool called "TailXP" which is able to record the FlashFolder log:
1. Download from http://infiero.com/tailxp/ (ZIP-File on the bottom of the site, program doesn't need installation).
2. Start the tailxp.exe
3. Right-click on the window -> Settings, enable "Monitor OutputDebugString entries"
4. Start a program where you open a file dialog
TailXP should output something like this, if everything goes fine:
19:51:15 Starting up..
19:51:15 Monitoring OutputDebugString
19:51:20 ($00000E80) [fflib] DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH (pid 00000E80h, "C:\WINDOWS\NOTEPAD.EXE")
19:51:23 ($00000E80) [fflib] CmnFileDlgHook::Init()
If you have even more time, it would also help if you could uninstall FlashFolder and reinstall it, while TailXP is running.

Unfortunately, the logs look as if FlashFolder actually works. The service seems to be installed correctly and it even detects the file dialog. Just the toolbar window of FlashFolder is not created.
So far, I can't do anything about the problem until somebody can tell me the steps I need to make to reproduce it on my system.
Nevertheless, thanks for the effort of getting the logs from TailXP.

Hi zett42! Me again, Kulcsar.
Just "feeding back":)
FlashFolders Menu suddenly appeared a few weeks ago (no idea why - I'm using mostly the same programs as back then...), and is working ever since. It's being very useful, particularly the Favorite Folders function. Thank's a lot for the program!
