Flashdmin was basically a "proof of concept" project. Regarding that goal, i can say that it succeeded.
Obviously, it had serveral limitations for a monitoring application, the most important of them being the inability to run as a service.
Some time ago, i began working in the next generation of Flashdmin ("Flashdmin/ng"), which is now a C++ application for the Linux platform, and is able to run as a daemon, without requiring any user interaction.
