#48 flac tag data from iTunes Music Library.xml

Hi

Due to hard drive space issues I've just started to
convert my wavs to flacs. The wavs were created via
itunes so their artist and album metadata is in iTunes
Music Library.xml. Before I write one myself I was
wondering if there was a tool that parsed the iTunes
Music Library.xml data file for wav that was converted
and extracts the metadata and populates the flac file
with this info.

    Hi Josh,

    I am not sure about a spec, but http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/itunesexport/iTunesExport-1.3.1-src.zip?download has an excellent C# parser for the XML file the author mentions.
