V4.3-FT06 now available

V4.3-FT06 is a field test version of the next production version of GT.M (past V4.3-000). It includes functionality for alternation in pattern matching.

Please use V4.3-000 for development, testing and production needs, and use V4.3-FT06 for development and testing needs if your applications call for that functionality.

V4.3-FT04 beta released

GT.M version V4.3-FT04 beta build has been released. This release includes fixes to issues reported during regression and field testing.

GT.CM GNP functional specification now available

Functional specification for GT.CM GNP client-server to support remote database access on Unix is now available in the Docs area. This document includes a brief description about how to use GT.CM.

V4.3-FT01 beta released

GT.M version V4.3-FT01 beta build has been released. This release includes ANSI style error trapping ($ECODE, $ETRAP, etc) and $QLENGTH(), $QSUBSCRIPTS() and other 95 standard features. Also, GT.CM client/server over TCP is available. See release notes posted in the Technical Bulletins area (under Docs) for more details.

PHP client coming for GT.M; Beta testers wanted

PHP (http://php.net) is an open-source server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language. When compared with the [a-z]sp server page smorgasbord, it isa rguably the fastest way to generate dynamic web content.

By the end of next week (Friday, August 3), we expect to have available a field test version of a PHP client that can access a UNIX/Linux GT.M database over a network (the server will be in a field test version of a forthcoming version of GT.M, also available next week), and we are looking for Beta testers.... read more

Beta of Serenji available for GT.M

John Murray of George James Software reports:

Serenji is a Windows-based GUI debugger and code editor. It was first released two years ago, and has become very popular. Until now it's only worked on Cache, DSM and MSM.

We've just released the first beta version of Serenji for GT.M 4.2 on x86 Linux. If you're interested in testing this, please let me know

GT.M Applications Collection Available

The collection of GT.M applications distributed at the M User Group Deutschland Jahrestagung 2001 in Pliezhausen, May 18, 2001 is now available for downloading from the GT.M summary page.

It contains three GT.M applications (each with its own open source license):

Aida -- a relational (SQL) engine for a GT.M database with ODBC/JDBC drivers, and a Java GUI using the Swing classes.

Visual GT.M -- a set of Borland Delphi custom controls for accessing a GT.M database, with GT.M code to serve the controls.... read more

V4.2-001 released

This is the production release for which V4.2-FT14 was the field test release. There are now improved facilities for migration from other M implementations.

GT.M V4.2-FT14 available for download

V4.2-FT14 is a field test release that is now available for download. This adds Merge, Set $Extract, and, as a migration aid, the ability to Goto $ZTRAP if the attempt to Xecute $ZTRAP finds that $ZTRAP is not a legal line of M.

Note, this is a field test release, and has not yet passed all regression tests.

The GT.M Programmers Guide and GT.M Administration and Operations Guide, UNIX editions, are available for download. Files are tar'd & gzip'd archives of PDF files. Use tar zxvf <filename> to extract them.
