I ran the MVTS test suite against the new field test FT4.2-014 and found that it passes 81 more tests compared with release R4.2-000. Most of these (52) were the result of implementing the MERGE command. I will post results from the tests in the next few days.
I am pleased to note that SET $EXTRACT seems to work just fine in informal testing and in applications I have converted. Unfortunately, it appears that MVTS currently has no tests covering SET $EXTRACT so I haven't yet tested that systematically.
