I am wondering, Bhaskar, how do you want us to use the
forums? For example, if I think that I have found some
item that should be changed (e.g. the environment var
vs alias report), where should this be posted?
Should the (e.g.) above be filed as a "bug" or as a
"suggestion" only after a discussion on a forum?
I wonder if these forums would become too full of various
comments so that information gets buried?
Looking for your guidance,

You're right. I think the answer is more forums. Let me think about this over the weekend. Also, I need to develop a more intuitive feeling for how Source Forge really works.
Internally, we classify things as Support Requests and Change Requests. A Change Request can be a Bug (software doesn't do what it was specified as doing), a Misfeature (the software does what is was specified as doing, but what was specified wasn't what the user really wanted) or an Enhancement.

Source Forge has a Support application. I have created a number of categories for Support requests. Please feel free to suggest more. I hope that this proves to be a good way to manage these questions.
