The wizard creates files that usually are located in /etc/firestarter
The firewall.sh script is then hopefully run by an init file called
firestarter which is found in your /etc/init.d (if you don't have a such
file, you can see to that the firewall.sh is run with help of a custom
startup file, which in redhat is /etc/rc.d/rc.local and in gentoo it's
/etc/conf.d/local.start). If you are using some type of ppp, then you
should get the firewall started from the ppp startup script.
A normal user will never notice that the iptable rules has been aplied, of
course if the user has access to the root password, s/he could run the GUI
and see if it's on or not. Remember that the GUI isn't anything else than
a configuration tool that has the ability to show you an easy to
understand output from the logfile.
