If you want to use another log file, you have two options as it is today

 - make a symlink: ln -s /var/log/fire/current /var/log/messages

 - Modify the source code to use your log file and then compile=20
firestarter. Good idea in such case is to make a patch file, which will=20
make things easier when updating to next version.
