Hi everyone I have recently installed Firestarter and I'm quite happy with the software so far. However, there are a couple of things I would like to be informed about: When I reboot the system (I use Mandrake 9.0) Firestarter complains that it can't start because it can only be run by root. Fair enough but I'm not logging in as root so I have to start Firestarter from the console. Not a big deal but is it possible to make Firestarter run for all users when they log in? Also, when Firestarter is running, from the Mandrake Control Centre it appears that iptables service is stopped. Obviously I'm not an expert on these matters but isn't Firestarter a GUI for iptables and thus iptables should be running with Firestarter as usual? The system appears to be 'stealthed' after scanning it but still I'm not sure what to think of it. Any help please? Thanks Nikolai |
