Greetings Chaps, Well it turned out it wasn't too hard to fix - actually I am amazed it worked in Windows!! Also shifted to Python 2.5 with no issues though I guess that's what you are running on Fuzzy? Still not quite dealing with unicode for tags correctly in Ubuntu - next time I boot it I will look into it. On a related note, have had some fun playing with XAML on IronPython to get a FiredropEsque Gui together. Will try and drop a screenshot on the blog sometime... Dunno if will ever be a real blog editor but its a handy exercise. Okay good news and bad news! Good News - just got Firedrop2 running on the latest wxPython. Bad News - .... by hacking Wax a bit for work with the wx package. There's a small change to Firedrop which uses wxpython for an import - will check for others tonight. A good bit more testing too. So what do we do about wax? Take on maintaining it? Move to Dabo or wxPython direct? Hello Davy, **Argh**, Firedrop2 is no longer compatible with the latest version of wxPython (wx-2.8). I'm not asking you to do anything about it - but I'll have to note it in the docs and eventually sort it out. I decided to install an ansi version of wx to reduce my unicode woes. I'll have to install a wx-2.7 version. Michael |

Turning ReST to HTML is very easy - just a single function call buried somewhere in there... My knowledge of the Firedrop codebase has started to decay though and I *must* get this damn book finished. Michael > Davy > > |
