As mentioned previously, I am spending time on IronPython much more to learn .Net for work (if we *ever* migrate from ASP/VB6!). I've a couple of other applications built with WinForms that are display apps (Slideshow + RSS viewer) that would look great under WPF. As you say though it is hardly cross-platform and is probably a whole new project. One to ponder over for a bit... Think statistics sorted - checked it with spreadsheet tonight with 2 of my sites. Two more ideas. Update the Firedrop spell-checker to support the latest version of enchant (currently can't use personal word lists with the latest version because of an API change). Hi All, The list has been very quiet so I think it is time to stir things up :-) Had a few ideas for Firedrop which is my last real desktop application (living on google these days and Blogger is tempting). Best way for FD2 to progress for me is to interact with other online services more. Probably that makes these ideas plugins straight away: 1. Integration with Twitter - post to twitter when blog updated. 2. Show google shared items - perhaps as a post or sidebar item without using Javascript. 3. Task Clould display from rememberthemilk.com 4. Clustrmaps integration 5. Allow option to use Google chart for statistics page. What's your idea? Love to hear your ideas! Hello all, I've just switched to the SVN version of firedrop. All is fine :-) I'm not sure I noticed a particular speedup - hard to tell. My blog has around 670 entires, it feels a *bit* faster, but not sure. I'm not sure what version I was running though... :-p The new blog statistics are in : http://www.voidspace.org.uk/python/weblog/blog_statistics.shtml Nice colours - is there supposed to be a graph Davy ? I also note that it still says average word count 305 words, yet none of the individual categories have an average count above 200... This makes me think that words are still being double counted when entries are in more than one category... Sorry about that. :-) Fuzzyman |
