The most probable cause of "400 Bad Request" for new installations is that the compiler cannot be found from the command line. i.e. if you type "jikes" or "javac" from the command terminal, you get a "command not found". So you will need to make sure that the compiler is available from the command terminal. If you use javac, you will also need to change the "src_compiler" from "jikes" to "javac" in conf/motor.xml. We will have to make that clearer in the installation instructions. I will forward your mail to the users mailing list to see if other people experience the same problem. Thanks for the feedback!
