I want to update some firebird tables along with oracle tables in the = same transaction. I=92m currently using the 1.2.0.69 drivers, can=92t do 2 = phase commits, so I had to do autonomous transactions. =20 The firebird database is not on version 2 yet, though. First, can I = even use the 2.0 version Firebird ODBC against the older firebird database? =20 Also, is it the older firebird database that doesn=92t support 2 phase commits, or was it the odbc drivers? Might the 2.0. ODBC drivers = support 2 phase commits even connected to the older firebird database? =20 =20 I figure it=92s the database, but never hurts to ask. If the 2 phase = commit isn=92t possible, at least the newer odbc drivers might fix some = intermittent connection disconnects if they=92re compatible with the older database. =20 Thanks.
