Hi > But, can you tell me if we want to buy the database, how much does it cost? Firebird is free (and OpenSource) RDMBS. So you don't have to pay anything. But you or your company can donate Firebird project - to help development. Look here: http://firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=ffoundation&id=contributions > we don't want to share our codes... Also, You don't have to share your code. > and I also don't know Firebird is embedded database or not? Firebird has embedded architecture too. Each release version is distributed in few architectures (editions) and embedded is one of them. Look here: http://firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=files&id=engine_213 > by the way, how can I get the library for Firebird(C++), should I pay for it? You can use direct access to DB - using API or use one of libraries. The most popular C++ library is IBPP http://sourceforge.net/projects/ibpp It is free too. There are many libraries and components for other languages (Delphi, C++Builder etc) too. WBR, GR |
