Paul, but no matter of this fact people prefer to copy files around and not use installers. And firebird has always been able to be just copied. Next, to use installer on must have admin rights on the box. And what to do, if user w/o admin rights simply wants to run demo program, based on FB embedded? As long as we keep making it possible to just copy FB binaries, it's useful feature. |
