Binaries placed to SF are built in a manner making them usable with as much types of distros as possible. You see we have a bit different aims, therefore most of gentoo patches are not usable. But if there are any Gentoo specific recomendations/patches (better startup file for SS, for example) - always happy to use it. I know that Gentoo users should not use prebuilt binaries, it violates emerge rules - but soemtimes ago we had a request to add gentoo startup style to them. |
