Hello Friends. I'm doing my final application to get the bacharel's degree, and my idea was to develop some autonomic behavior in Firebird. For those who don't know autonomic computing, it's an area introduced by IBM and shows some new concepts that would increase application's complexity in order to get it working alone, whitout any administrator's intervention. The main concepts are self-configuration, self-optimization, self-healing and self-protection. I already talked to Carlos Cantu and he suggested me write to this list. So, do you think there is any good feature to implement in firebird, in order to have it working with one or more of these behaviors? IBM did something with DB2, they created a prototype called "LEO", a query learning optimizer. I know C/C++, and need to finish the project in 1 year. Thanks for any help!!!! If anybody wants to talk in private, my e-mail is leo...@gm... Hugs, Leonardo |
