Many reasons can affect it. For example, old bug in 1.5.

Can you CREATE DATABASE using 64-bit 1.5 and send it to me? I will have a 
look, why it does not open. But not sure that it can be fixed - it may be a 
bug in 1.5, and hacking code to be able to open databases, created by 
unsupported version, is not good idea for me.
