This Statement works: SELECT A.field1, A.Field2, A.Field3, B.FieldOne, B.FieldTwo FROM TABLEA A, TABLEB B WHERE A.ID = B.ID This statement fails: SELECT A.field1, A.Field2, TABLEA.Field3, B.FieldOne, B.FieldTwo FROM TABLEA A, TABLEB B WHERE A.ID = B.ID Note that the only difference between the two statements is that the second one uses the full tablename TABLEA instead of the Alias A when referring to field TABLEA.Field3 The error reported is as follows: It reports Dynamic SQL Error... SQL Error code = -206 Column unknown. TABLEA.Field3 I am pretty sure this used to work in Firebird 1.5.3 (Testing SuperServer under Windows XP Pro with all security patches installed.) This was discovered because of a routine I have that forces query to include all primary key fields in first table of a query if programmer expects to have an updateable dataset... (This routine shoves it in by TableName - not by Table Alias) Esko Woudenberg RMS Support Center (rmssupport.com) (Do not speak for my employer(s) blah blah blah....) --------------------------------- Expecting?
