Sure, the code that is commented out as obsolete must be deleted (or if it is valuable, converted into a nice text file with header "if you want to do this, please use the following pattern" and moved to a doc/ directory). As to Jim's idea of leaving code commented out in the files until the new code works and does not introduce new problems... I'm afraid that would start the next ideological war here, but the code that does not work should not be committed to the CVS. But really, let's not start the flame war here... Roman |
