I got a bunch of these messages (maybe 12) with this exact same address
(although before RC3, it was a different address) over the period between
last June and around November.  I was, during much of that time, running a
backup script that ran GBAK every HOUR (a condition of being allowed to use
a "release candidate" in a production system). That made it possible to
recognize that these errors were occurring DURING THE BACKUPS. I never saw
one at any other time that GBAK wasn't running.  Is it possible that your
errors are happening during GBAKs?
