2. To make SuperServer happy on Red Hat NPTL you need to build it there,
AFAIK. Normal build made against GLIBC 2.2.5 is unstable on NPTL.
Disabling NPTL for Firebird process may help too. If you'll still be
having problems you can work with Alex Peshkoff, maintainer of Linux SS
builds.
