Why do you want to remove the 'G' anyway?

And... what about the registry keys in Win? I remember that Paul implemented
something like FirebirdSQL on the first install, just to implement
something. I think that 'Firebird' is enough, without the SQL. I remember
that this topic was discussed some long time ago in IBDI, but I don't
remember the conclusion.

Can someone look at the source at tell me what it's there now? With that
info I can change the Firebird Control Panel Applet and send the sources
back to Helen.

As I continue to look with glee at the pace of changes being
committed... (Keep up the good work Dmitri, Eric, David J, Arno and
Blas!)

I have been wondering about the EXE/Binaries names.

Since it has been decided that the server will now be called
FBServer.EXE and the library/DLL FBCLient.dll, shouldn't the names of
the other tools be changed?

GBak -> FBBak
GFix -> FBFix
Gdef -> FBDef
