Tom, for 148 build there is no debug information. It means I can't see function and parameters for your dump. I suggest you to try more fresh build 149. You can find it here http://www.firebirdsql.org/downloads/snapshot_builds/odbc/. You can just replace driver files from OdbcFb_DLL_2-0-0149_Win32.zip. After try to create dump again. I'll also install this version on my machine and try to open a new dump. -- Roman Simakov tom interface wrote: > Thanks Roman for your answer > > I put a dump generated when the first database connection is opened on my > application on : www.interface.nc/dump.zip > > When i activate debug in ODBC manager the log is always empty ? > > Tom > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Roman Simakov" <rom...@gm...> > To: <fir...@li...> > Sent: Friday, December 04, 2009 8:42 PM > Subject: Re: [Firebird-odbc-devel] Firebird_ODBC_2.0.0.148 and ASP on 2003 > server > > >> Hi tom! >> >> It would be good to look at call stack. Hi tom! It would be good to look at call stack. Can you get it on your machine? Maybe userdump can help. Also odbc debug can be useful. It can trace call of every function in ODBC driver with parameters. Without that it's difficult to understand what's happen. -- Roman Simakov tom interface wrote: > Hi, > > i'm french so excuse me for my english. > > I have a classic ASP application with Firebird server (1.5.5.4926) with > ODBC 2.0.0.148 > > There's only one server for IIS and Firebird and i've 60 users, and each > have his connection string (so i can't use pooling) > > My connection string is : > > "Driver=Firebird/InterBase(r) > driver;Uid=mylogin;Pwd=mypass;DbName=127.0.0.1:d:\database\xxxxxx.fdb" > > Sometimes, when the connection is opened i have intermittent 800a01fb > error and by day it represents hundreds of error 500. Hi, i'm french so excuse me for my english. I have a classic ASP application with Firebird server (1.5.5.4926) with ODBC 2.0.0.148 There's only one server for IIS and Firebird and i've 60 users, and each have his connection string (so i can't use pooling) My connection string is : "Driver=Firebird/InterBase(r) driver;Uid=mylogin;Pwd=mypass;DbName=127.0.0.1:d:\database\xxxxxx.fdb" Sometimes, when the connection is opened i have intermittent 800a01fb error and by day it represents hundreds of error 500. I look in the IIS log and when i try the page that cause error, no problem for me. Users told me that when they refresh sometimes it works sometimes not. I'm using lots of response.redirect but always close and set nothing for connection and recordset before. I use debugdiag and have always this message (sometimes very quickly when i open connection to firebird): In w3wp__PID__2620__Date__12_02_2009__Time_01_19_58PM__499__First Chance Access Violation.dmp the assembly instruction at OdbcFb!SQLSetDescFieldW+5478 in C:\WINDOWS\system32\OdbcFb.dll from IBPhoenix Inc has caused an access violation exception (0xC0000005) when trying to read from memory location 0x0c641000 on thread 67 I look for a solution for a long time but can't find a solution to solve this Can anyone help me ?? security rights problem ? Too many connections ? I hope someone can help Thanks Tom __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 4656 (20091202) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com |

Hi, I am failing to achieve an odbc connection using the 64-bit firebird driver on windows server 2008. Can anyone understand why? Firebird is running correctly and the gdb file can be accessed correctly by e.g. IBConsole Additional Info: 1) when turning on the ODBC trace tool and testing the connection, the log file does not contain any data. 2) When running procmon and testing the connection, no activity is visible Thanks, Jerry Jerry Dr Jerry Sanders Endeavour House 11 Genotin Terrace Enfield Middlesex EN1 2AF UK 0845 165 9155 *********************************************************************** This e-mail (and any attachment) is confidential and may be legally privileged. Hello, I'm trying to run OdbcFb-Source-RC1-2.0.0148 under Solaris 10 (i386). I found in sources ...Builds/CC.solaris/makefile.solaris file that I used to build the driver. However I am wondering if it will be working? I tried to compile and use my driver with unixODBC and iODBC but unsuccessfully. Maybe someone compiled and used this sources on Solaris 10 (i386) and could help with this problem. I will be grateful for any help, Regards, Lukasz Tutaj |

You could (and probably should) build the driver from source. o Check out the code from cvs. (Be sure to use the B2_0_0 tag) o cd to /path/to/checkedoutcode/Builds/Gcc.lin o type at command prompt: make -f makefile.linux all install That will give you build 149 which has all the bug fixes committed since RC1. It will also guarantee that the build is fully compatible with the host environment. Let us know on this list how you get on. I'm developing in Perl, so I can't really do what you suggest, I suspect the code just needs recompiling for a 64-bit architecture, but I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to start. If there are some instructions somewhere, I'd be happy to have a go, but I'm afraid I'm not qualified to identify any issues. Any suggestions welcome. Regards Steve |

Hi People, I have a Firebird 2.1 database that works perfectly under Windows, but has been problematic under a migration to Kubuntu 9.10 with ODBC driver libOdbcFb.so. After initial problems installing and then using DBI:InterBase, I finally got ODBC working. But I have repeated problems with the date format (and quite possibly the integer format too). The database was created in a UK locale and Kubuntu is set to a UK locale. I have a row which I read once and I get 30/07/2009. I read it again later and get, say, 32231-08-2\x00. Sometimes the read works and sometimes not. Sometimes I get a valid date and sometimes I get a strange string, but always with the format nnnnn-nn-n\x00. If I use isql-fb, it works perfectly, but if I use just isql, it fails. So this leads me to believe it's an ODBC issue Here is an example, if I don't use any code but just use isql and I run the same query (select att_examination_dte from tbl_exam) three times, I get record 1 = 31893-11-15, twice and record 1 = 2009-07-24 (the correct value) the third time. There are 21 records in this table, here is the whole output (see below). What is causing this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling unixodbc, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm having some problems with the Firebird ODBC driver on 64-bit Linux. I'm using the 2.0 RC1 driver, connecting to Firebird 2.1 on the same computer. I don't think so. What distributives are you using to install Firebird ODBC and Red Soft ODBC? On sf.net I can see only 1.2 version of Firebird ODBC. Red Soft ODBC is deployed with Red Database. Right? Or you are building them yourself? But It seems that Red Soft build number for ODBC driver is not correct. Thanks. It will be fixed. AFAIK every patch to Firebird or Red Soft ODBC is ported to another source tree. Hence you can either use ODBC driver from Red Database 2.1.3 or build your snapshot from Firebird source tree (version 2.0 or HEAD). -- Roman Simakov Jorge Andrés Brugger wrote: > Roman, one more quiestion: Redsoft build 147 is more "updated" that > Firebird ODBC build 149?
