We had ekiga-3.1.2 in our distros up through OS X 10.6/i386 (but not x86_64), and did not carry it forward because it had a dependency on seamonkey that was not available on x86_64. I don't know specifically why that package was not carried to the current arch, but IIRC mozilla-based packages were generally a nightmare to port and maintain. Maybe newer ekiga doesn't need it and that specifica change could be backported, or maybe it was even optional in older?

For the record, ekiga 4.0.1 needs gtk+2 >= 2.20.0. We have 2.18.9.
