ODVR is a driver that enables audio files (in .wav format) created on an Olympus digital voice recorder, or ODVR (the VN-4100PC and several other models) to be downloaded to a Linux-based PC (for example, Ubuntu). The recorder is sold with a CD-based Windows driver, but Olympus doesn't provide Mac or Linux drivers. I would like to get the Linux driver (ODVR) ported to Mac OS X so I can download audio recordings from my Olympus VN-4100PC to my MacBook 3.1.
I would also like to get it packaged so I can use the most recent version of ODVR.
The ODVR home page is:

The ODVR download page is:

I am not a developer, so the Fink project is my only hope of getting ODVR ported to Mac OS X. However, I realize there are several times as many requests as there are volunteer developers.
Regardless of whether you are able to port and package ODVR, I thank you for helping to bring Unix software to the Mac.
I was able to compile odvr, but I have no Olympus equipment to test it with. Are you still interested? I can create a package for you to test because it assumes certain things to be set up as in Linux, and I don't really know how to set things up correctly for it on OS X w/out some trial and error.
