KDE apps work fine in Oroborosx. I suspect you just aren't waiting long enough. KDE apps can take a *VERY* long time to start, some on the order of 2 minutes on my Dual 800 mhz G4. If you are running a rev C imac, I would give them a good 5-10 minutes to start up, during which time it may appear that nothing is happening. Really. The current KDE in fink does not support sound.
