Unfortunately at this stage there is no consistant way of seeing if a given market is open or closed, and not all information sources provide an easy way to find this out. A rather pragmatic approach would be to find out the opening hours of the exchange you're interested, and then check against that, but that would not catch public holidays and the like.
If you can think of a good way to determine whether or not a given market is open for some/all of the current F::Q sources, then I'm happy to add such functionality to the code.
