Game not properly using custom portraits in old format maps

When a custom hero has a custom portrait that has been set in the old map editor, when game (r3178) starts it ignores this and chooses a random portrait of the hero's class. I am not sure if it also applies to new format maps. The correct behavior is to always use the custom portrait, regardless of what class it normally applies to.
Actually, it seems to work for some maps but not for others. It works fine in Alteris and Alteris2, but it doesn't work properly in Lord of Rings.
