I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I previously inquired about a feature request, which I'm not sure if is feasible:
is it possible to download only the "new" videos in a youtube playlist, (new as compared to already downloaded videos in a directory)? This would effectively allow someone to keep an "up to date" backup copy of a youtube channel, every time the user clicked "update" for a "subscription"
the current implementation allows a user to enter a playlist and proceed to download, but an additional aspect of a "subscriptions" implementation would entail the user being able to enter a LIST of playlists that is saved to a file and persists and is either automatically updated or manually updated at user request.
THANK YOU!
This feature would require some development and testing, maybe for future releases, not expected soon. YouTube downloasing is a secondary "best effort" feature.
