I'm trying to hard-code subtitles into a 4K, 10-bit, HDR video. I want to keep the quality (and the HDR) and would like it to encode with the same formats as the source. I've read all the forums here and found the command line (I thought) I should use, but I'm getting an error message. I've attached 3 photos... one that shows the current format of the video, a second showing I'm muxing a SRT subtitle file and the final photo shows the error message I am getting. Can you help?

I don't know if I mentioned that the subtitles are not currently part of the MKV container. They're an external SRT file. Is the error because the source is 10-bit with HDR?

I think in this case you could use the main tab with those parameters, it is trying to use the subtitles file twice, and %ff variable is not yet implemented at subtitles tab.

Hi, can you show the the log file content, at main tab?

That didn't work, although it did give me a different error message.

I see. Can you try with filter parameters in brackets
vf "subtitles=%ff"
or
" vf subtitles=%ff"
vf "subtitles=%ff" produced the error message in the photo.

" vf subtitles=%ff" produced a different error message.

Will this burn the subtitles onto the video once we get the right command?
For some reason, Plex doesn't like 4K, 10-bit videos when you activate any
subtitle. The video plays fine without them, but as soon as you select a
subtitle it buffers, plays about 1 or 2 seconds, buffers, and so on. It's
unwatchable. That's why I want the foreign parts hard-coded.
