#36 20020617 verses 20030106

I have been trying out a number of different encoded
films on both FFdshow-20020617 verses 20030106 and
while the clarity of the detail IS clearer in 2003 the
picture overall IS ALSO darker than in 2002 -- this is a
shame as much of the extra detail possible on 2003 is
actually less visible than the brighter 2002 and hence
takes away from the enjoyment of the film/product in
question....

Is it possible to make the overall picture brighter in 2003
while keeping the excellent detail & clarity of the
picture?...The you would have an excellent 2003 version
worthy to called an upgrade from 2002...

You can increase brightness in overlay mixer. (You must enable
