I get the following crash on many videos:

Assertion failed: pic->data[0], file
libavcodec/h264.c, line 2590

this is from the installed version: ffdshow-
20051129.exe

I am told the videos were created with the following
process:

Quicktime (loaded throughout Avisynth) -> .264 (raw
h264) -> .AVI (using a multiplexer AVC2AVI) -> ASF
(using the ASF multiplexer)

    Try this file:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/12901244/fail-002.mkv.html

    It has an assertion failure in libavcodec/h264 in the middle
    of it. It's possible to seek both prior or after that spot,
    but if you get to that fragment ffdshow displays assertion
    failure.

    That checked on b0b0r build 20051221 and kuroshi gcc builds
    from january.

    The stream was encoded by nero recode, muxed with timecodes
    by mkvtoolnix 1.6.5 into mkv. But the latter is not
    essential -- same thing happens even on original mp4 stream.

    So it's either nero screwed the encoding, or libavcodec
    screwed decoding ;)

    I'm very sorry for the delay.

    Please could you repost the file? It's no longer available.
    Thanks.

    Heh, it's been a while :)

    I tried to find a file on my PC but i think it's been
    already deleted on it as well.
