Love this codec, and it worked great, recently reinstalled windows, restored all my settings, everything was working great.

After some windows update, i get a crash when opening MPC-HC if FFDshow is set to use any of the video decoders/encoders.

here is the log of the crash

What more do you need? i open up MPC-HC and it crashes, regardless of source, mkv or raw blu-ray from disc, if i tell it not to use the FFDshow video filters it works just fine. so it's not the audio, i updated the video drivers, i downgraded them, upgraded to beta, What more do you need?

So the crash does not depend on the files played at all, all file crashes the player if ffdshow is used.
I can't reproduce, it works for me. I would love to help you, but I can't because it is impossible to reproduce.
It is likely that the problem is related to your PC (hardware), OS or registry. Many people are downloading ffdshow, and only you are reporting such problem. Nevertheless, if you find the fix, please let us know.

Did you uninstall ffdshow? If the problem is related to ffdshow settings, it may help.

Uninstalled FFDshow and MPC-HC, i will try again, would you kindly point me to the registry values for FFDShow? after uninstall i'd like to be sure nothing is left behind.

Using IObit uninstaller to delete left over registry entries and files, i uninstalled and reinstalled bother FFDshow, and MPC-HC.. Still get the same result.
