At the moment, I have to choose between Stereo audio with Windows volume control that actually works, or 5.1 sound without. This is not ideal. I have just run into this problem recently and have been banging my head trying to resolve it. Having an option for ffdshow to adjust its volume relative to the system volume would be a godsend.

Subtitle alignment commands are not supposed to persist beyond the current paragraph. Most players like VLC, MPlayer, MPV, etc obey this. But ffdshow is unique in allowing them to persist. This happens because ffdshow stores alignments etc in "TsubtitleParser::TsubtitleFormat::textformat" which acts as a persistent container for everything. There should be a reset of some of these at each parapraph. There is some awful difficult-to-understand and overly complex code involved.

In TsubtitleMixedProps.cpp there is a fake \move used to translate slider settings. Firstly the isSSA() condition should be removed because it usurps the IDFF_subSSAOverridePlacement parameter, and secondly such a fake {\move} prevents any subsequent alignment commands from being executed. In Tsubreader.cpp there is a wrong assignment when identifying subtitle files. The "HH:MM:SS.m,HH:MM:SS.m" is identified SUB_SUBRIP and the "HH:MM:SS,m --> HH:MM:SS,m" is identified as SUB_SUBVIEWER. These are both wrong and should be swapped around.

This is still happening, but it seems to be a Windows 7 problem? Before I updated my HTPC from Vista to W7 (32 Bit) subtitles worked fine. Subtitles do not only disappear, I've got a movie where they got stuck and the same subtitle is displayed for the rest of the movie. And it can be reproduced, it hppens always at the same place. It also happens with ripped Blu-Ray subtitles.

Hello. I use Subtitle Edit and VirtualDub to edit my playthrough videos but the subtitles I add are showed on wrong times. The .ssa file when viewed in Notepad shows the times I recorded with Subtitle Edit but the starting from the second subtitle they are shown way early. The second subtitle should start at 6 minutes 8,3 seconds but starts about 4 minutes 36 seconds. What gives?
