I agree - the reviews provide no confidence at all that these items actually work. Importantly, a number of reviewers report that the adapters damaged their hardware. I am usually cautious about placing too much emphasis on reviews because generally the only people who review are those who encounter problems. However, in this case the consistency of the findings and the total lack of any comments indicating success is significant. For the benefit of others reading this thread in the archives, I would be very cautious about adapters like this. Notwithstanding the technical points raised earlier in this thread, experience of others strongly suggests that these adapters are at best non-functional. Personally I would not trust these adapters.
