It seems that Morgan's issue is that there is no equivalent of the Ubuntu jackd2-firewire package in rhel8. Obviously such a package can't be present if its dependency (FFADO) is not available, and according to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1829403#c1 (as posted by Morgan), rhel8 doesn't include FFADO.
