Excellent. With that done, could you please carry out the following retest
as described earlier:
* Connect the FA-66 to your firewire bus and turn it on.
* Run
ffado-diag >& /tmp/ffado-diag.log
as your "marcc" user (not via sudo) in a terminal window.
* Post the content of the /tmp/ffado-diag.log file so we can take a look.
If the above comment does not create the ffado-diag.log file in the /tmp
directory, have a close look to ensure the command appears exactly as given
above. It should work as is and should not require the use of sudo (and in
fact running it using sudo won't provide all the information we require).
If the file still doesn't seem to be created, you could try
ffado-diag >& ~/ffado-diag.log
In this case the ffado-diag.log file will be created in your home directory,
which might be easier to find.
