In case you want to try compiling the kernel this is my notes from when I did it once. It was quite straightforward. I imagine this was done from the root of the linux source folder after cloning it from git. I remember at some point we go into a graphical configuration screen, and there I had to turn on the lowlatency option. cp /boot/config-`uname -r` .config yes '' | make oldconfig sed -rie 's/echo "\+"/#echo "\+"/' scripts/setlocalversion make-kpkg clean CONCURRENCY_LEVEL=`getconf _NPROCESSORS_ONLN` fakeroot make-kpkg --initrd --append-to-version=-custom2 kernel_image kernel_headers #instead of custom2 put whatever number you need to make it unique sudo dpkg -i linux-image-3.3.0-rc1-custom2_3.3.0-rc1-custom2-10.00.Custom_amd64.deb sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-3.3.0-rc1-custom2_3.3.0-rc1-custom2-10.00.Custom_amd64.deb ls /lib/modules sudo update-initramfs -ck 3.3.0-rc1-custom2 sudo update-grub best, Miguel |
