Hi Darren, > I managed to get streaming to start with "aplay -D plughw:ProjectMix > test.wav --verbose". > > My experience was that I heard the pops that the card makes when setting > the sample rate and then starts streaming on Aux 1-2. Successfully got > audio output! Well done Takashi :) That's nice. The pop noise at the beginning of streaming is a quirk of BeBoB based devices. Currently I have no idea to suppress this so I hope users to use their devices with sound server like jackd or PulseAudio, or add long silent for these music files. Can I request you to test the other cases. - Test playbacking/capturing at different modes of rate and digital interface. You can change the modes by 'alsamixer'. The modes have a relationships to the number of channels, below: 44.1/48.0 12ch playback (ADAT output) 44.1/48.0 6ch playback (S/PDIF output) 44.1/48.0 16ch capture (ADAT input) 44.1/48.0 10ch capture (S/PDIF input) 88.2/96.0 8ch playback (ADAT output) 88.2/96.0 6ch playback (S/PDIF output) 88.2/96.0 12ch capture (ADAT input) 88.2/96.0 10ch capture (S/PDIF input) - Testing MIDI substreams. Your device may have two output port and two input port. Check these ports can correctly transfer MIDI messages. Each port has its own role so I ask you to read M-Audio's manual. > I did find, however, that once your driver is loaded, the bus reset is > actually necessary to make ffado-mixer run smoothly. However, it wasn't > like that before the driver was loaded. Strange. Hm. We need to investigate this behaviour. Currently I have a solution for this, by just bus reset. But there seems to be the other solutions. Thank you Takashi Sakamoto o-t...@sa... |
