Ok. If this was not too long ago then we can probably assume that the cable, host controller and interface are electrically ok. Of couse that doesn't rule out the possibility that the JMicron device has an internal issue which is not known to the Linux developers and thus has no workaround in the Linux kernel. We'll see I guess. Of course other operating systems may work fine because the authors of their host controller driver may have been told about the chip fault and workaround. > Would it be useful to post similar diagnostic messages from my linux mint > install?
