As I understand it, DICE and DICE Jr use what is known as "dual wire mode" at 192 kHz (and presumedly other 4x rates). FFADO does not support this at present. Developing patches to add this would, I expect, require a good understanding of the DICE protocol, an understanding of how FFADO's DICE driver works and a DICE-based device on which to test the work. For completeness I should mention that Clemens's experimental proof-of-concept playback-only snd-dice ALSA driver does support dual-wire mode and is reported to work at 192 kHz with most DICE devices (the M-Audio Profile 610 is a notable exception - see ticket 343).
