I'll offer some general suggestions though. Given your description it sounds like you're seeing a "matrix mixer" control. Like many firewire interfaces, the pro24 allows you to mix any input to a subset of the outputs in a rather unrestricted way. To present this with the least amount of screen real-estate, FFADO implemements a matrix mixer. This is divided into columns and rows, where (I think) the columns represent outputs and the rows represent inputs. Each square represents the send level going from the respective row's input to the column's output. To change the value of the send, left-click-and-hold within the square. You can then change the level by dragging the mouse up and down. The send's value will be displayed as text in the middle of the square. Release the left mouse button when you're finished setting the value. To date this has been the easiest way of implementing the extensive mixer controls offered by devices such as the pro24. Users are more than welcome to contribute code to improve the user interface. From those who don't program ideas are also accepted, but given that FFADO is an all-volunteer effort there may be considerable time before the developers get a chance to implement ideas contributed without corresponding code. > > Is I mentioned, from svn revision 2126 both these > >manual edits should be unnecessary since I've merged them in. > > I am thinking if the pro 24 normal without de dsp will keep working if > these lines change maybe the problem will be traspassed there. The normal pro24 should be fine with the changes because I made them in such a way that the pro24 will be accepted as well as the pro24dsp. That is, the changes I committed aren't exactly the same as those which you made: they take into account the conditions required to accept a pro24 as well. Regards jonathan |
