This bug has now been affecting me for over six months.
I'm not a Linux expert, and was entirely unaware of where my Fedora bug
reports went when a supposedly working piece of software repeatedly
crashed on me - I just tried to report the fault when the abrt tool
opened - sorry for not knowing that I should log in to Bugzilla etc and
the actually reply to your questions.
I have followed all the instructions that the ffado team have ever
provided, including the file referred to in ticket 4 for the bug report-
there is no useful information in /usr/share/doc/libffado-2.0.1/README.
I have done everything that I can think of to remove possible duplicate
copies of ffado and or jack as recommended by the developers. Despite
what ffado-diag reports below, jack is present and able to control the
Saffire sound card. Unfortunately, it does not work in the way I need
without being able to access the mixer.
I have recently taken the extreme step of removing Fedora and trying
Ubuntu instead - a freshly installed distro copy of ffado-mixer still
crashes with 'SaffireMixerMono has no attribute SldIN1910'. I have
tried both version 10 and 11 Alpha of Ubuntu as well as several versions
of Fedora 14.
Below is output from ffado-diag:
