#223: Jack crashes with firewire ERR: wait status < 0! (= -1) ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: joh | Owner: ppalmers Type: bug | Status: assigned Priority: critical | Milestone: FFADO 2.0 Version: FFADO SVN (trunk) | Resolution: Keywords: | Device_name: Edirol FA-66 ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Comment (by axlotltank): I saw some discussion about this bug on the developers mailing list. I used to encounter this bug every time I started JACK back when I installed and attempted to use Ubuntu Studio 9.04. When I installed Fedora Core 10 with Planet CCRMA, the bug went away. I wrote the bug off (naively) as having something to do with the interaction between JACK 1 and FFADO. The firewire chipset on the box for both systems is: 05:01.1 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Texas Instruments PCIxx12 OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller So, the bug affected me, even though I don't have a VIA controller. However, one thing I do have in common with the poster is that I use a Roland device (an Edirol FA-101), and I did notice that the person that talked about this bug on the development list DID NOT have a VIA host controller, and DID have an Edirol FA-66. Hope this helps. -- Ticket URL: <http://subversion.ffado.org/ticket/223#comment:4> FFADO <http://subversion.ffado.org/index.fcgi> Free Firewire Audio Drivers |
