I overrode the previous jack installation because the FFADO documentation recommended an overwrite if FFADO was recompiled or installed after jack. Actually, trying to track down all my errors I've overwritten both jack and ffado a number of times. You are correct regarding the permissions- I had changed those per the documentation but obviously whatever I did was not comprehensive. Thank you! However, even running jackd as superuse doesn't produce sound in the speakers. I open jackd in the terminal, and I get no error messages, and the light on the FP10 is nice and blue, but attempting to play a CD or run a test sound is silent. But first things first- I'll get the permissions changed correctly. Thank you!!
