May I ask you guys what settings on that gmail pop/imap page you use to delete mail? Because whenever I pop delete it, it ends up in gmail's 'trash' folder. Whereas I want it GONE from everywhere. The same question applies to imap but I've not tested it in a while since google's imap seems weird regarding filing things anyways. current settings page: POP Download: 1. Status: POP is enabled for all mail that has arrived since mmm d Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded) Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on Disable POP 2. When messages are accessed with POP delete Gmail's copy IMAP Access: Status: IMAP is enabled x Enable IMAP Disable IMAP When I mark a message in IMAP as deleted: Auto-Expunge on - Immediately update the server. (default) x Auto-Expunge off - Wait for the client to update the server. When a message is marked as deleted and expunged from the last visible IMAP folder: Archive the message (default) Move the message to the Trash x Immediately delete the message forever Thanks. |
