Feijuca - A C algorithms library / News: Recent posts

Project renamed

Originally, I had named this project as G.A. Library. However, I did not notice that there was already a G.A. library already. My mistake. So, I decided to name it a brazilian name, something that would lead to think about a miscellany of things. Nothing better than a brazilian traditional food, called Feijoada.

Therefore, from now on, this project is called Feijuca.

Project back to life

After more than one year idle, I decided to put this project back to life since it is about very useful C routines. In my full time job I use such routines but they are not transparent and easy to use like the ones in this library.

Therefore, I feel that it is about time to finish version 2.0 and release a new version of it. I have several ideas of modules which would be implemented over this library and I'm really inspired in bringing this project back to life.... read more

Turtle steps, but walking

There is a while that this project do not publish any news. In fact, this project is still walking and changes for version 2.0 are still going. Unfortunally, due to the time available for both developers involved, changes are not being done in a good time fashion. We really hope to release the version 2 as soon as possible, since it has several improvements regarding version 1. The algorithms have been revised and a new framework to support them was developed in order to have more control over algorithms implementation.... read more

Yes, this project is still alive

Even if you notice that the activity is not that high on SF web site, this project is still alive. We are currently working on the new version 2.0 that will bring major changes on how the library works.

The main changes are the addition of deque and double linked circular lists, that were not available on 1.x series.

Also, we are improving the encapsulation and the modularization of the library in a way that the descriptor data types will become completely opaque for the user. Several new methods are being implemented in order to give to the library user more flexibility when using it.... read more

Version 2.0 will bring major changes

Version 2.0 of the library will bring several changes that will make the library's interfaces more powerful. However, version 2.0 will have incompatibilities with series 1.x. We are aware about those incompatibilities and the effect of them on the current users. We are trying to minimize the impacts in a way that existing software using our library can suffer small maintenance for the new version. ... read more

Stable 1.0.2 available

After fixing several small bugs, the version 1.0.2 is available for download. This version contains the latest bug fixes for series 1.x of the library. Unfortunally the time we have to work on the library is small and that is why file releases take so long time.
